2025 Annual Appeal

Dear Four Winds Community,

This past year we undertook one of the most significant infrastructure upgrades in our camp history. With your generosity through the Sky & Sea campaign we renovated our beloved Lodge, preserving the character of the room while solving real, everyday problems like meal flow, trip prep, and bathroom access. We also added two new shower houses and safeguarded against power outages with the installation of state-of-the art generators. We are now looking forward to completing the last component from the Sky & Sea campaign with the new and improved dock.

While your contributions to Sky & Sea were beyond generous, the reality of running a successful summer camp as a nonprofit organization means that camper tuition only covers roughly 80 percent of our annual operating costs. The remaining twenty percent is raised through giving campaigns such as the May Match, Moonraker Club, and most importantly, through this Annual Appeal. What does your giving help support?

Your giving helps to fund our Tuition Assistance Program. One of our core fundamental values is to be able to provide children an opportunity to attend Four Winds even if their parents are not financially able to cover the total tuition costs. Through your generosity we are able to offer approximately 20 percent of the campers some level of tuition assistance.

Your giving helps to fund our programming. This includes caring for Carlyn, running off-site trips, keeping the horses happy, and ensuring we’re well-stocked in bloomers and middies.

Your giving helps to cover routine, but essential maintenance activities including re-roofing cabins, upgrading our plumbing system, and keeping the garden and trails in good shape.

Thank you for all the ways you support Camp: by sending children and grandchildren, by sharing Camp stories in your own communities, by volunteering, and by giving when you are able. Your year-end gift, in any amount, helps ensure that next summer’s campers will find the Four Winds Spirit waiting for them in the Lodge, at the Dock, and along the paths through the woods.
