Orcas Island is a beautiful and scenic destination with a plethora of things to do and see for parents when they are dropping off, picking up or visiting their campers.
The closest area to Camp is the small town of Deer Harbor that is comprised of a marina with a small shop, pizza restaurant, post office and some accommodation options.
Popular activities for Parents include visiting the main town of Eastsound, exploring Moran State Park, visiting other islands by ferry and much more.
Parents should keep in mind that there is limited public transport on Orcas Island and that the best way to see the sites is to hire a car or drive a car onto the island via the ferry from the Anacortes Ferry Terminal. Also note the driving time from Camp to the Orcas Island Ferry Terminal (20 minutes) and the drive from Camp to Eastsound (25 minutes).
We encourage everyone to make ferry and accommodation reservations well in advance as Orcas Island is a popular vacation destination during the summer months.
