We spent this week exploring Desolation Sound. We started at Powell River. It was the biggest port we went to during the trip, and we ate Thai food and went bowling, which was so fun! We worked our way north, anchoring in the coolest places. Some highlights were cliff jumping in Tenedos Bay, rope swinging in Laura Cove, showering in the freshwater lake in Teakerne Arm, meeting Judgment Dave in Refuge Cove, and sleeping under the stars in Waiatt Bay. While exploring the Octopus Islands, we found a cabin made of art driftwood pieces that previous visitors had built, and we made our own SSV Carlyn driftwood piece to add to the collection. We are so excited to make the most of our trip and are getting better at setting and dousing sails. The nature is so pretty out here, and the water is so clear for snorkeling. We have also eaten so much peanut butter!
